Meridian (“we”, “us”) provides an informational market and DeFi reference app. This policy explains what information is processed when you use Meridian.
1. Summary
- Meridian does not require an account and does not offer sign-in.
- Meridian does not include an analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDK shipped by us.
- Watchlists, recent searches, and settings are stored on your device.
- When live data is enabled, the app requests public market data over HTTPS from third-party providers. Those providers can see standard connection metadata such as IP address.
- Meridian never asks for seed phrases, private keys, or wallet connections.
2. Information stored on your device
Depending on how you use the app, Meridian may store locally:
- Watchlist items (markets or protocols you save)
- Recent search terms
- Preferences such as currency, appearance, refresh mode, haptics, and onboarding completion
- Cached market and DeFi snapshots to improve performance and offline viewing
This data remains on your device unless you back up the app through Android system backup features you control. Clearing app storage or uninstalling Meridian removes local app data.
3. Network requests and third parties
To show live information, Meridian may contact:
- CoinGecko — prices, market capitalization, volume, and token metadata
- DefiLlama — DeFi TVL, protocols, chains, yields, and stablecoin figures
- Alternative.me — Fear & Greed index
- Public Ethereum-compatible RPC endpoints (for example publicnode) — gas fee estimates
These providers process ordinary web request metadata (such as IP address and user-agent) according to their own policies. Meridian does not send account credentials, payment details, or wallet keys to them.
If sample/mock data mode is enabled for development, network calls may be reduced or omitted.
4. Permissions
Meridian requests:
- Internet — to fetch market and DeFi data
- Network state — to adapt behavior when connectivity changes
Meridian does not request access to contacts, location, camera, microphone, SMS, or storage beyond normal app-private files.
5. Children
Meridian is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
6. International processing
Third-party data providers may process connection metadata on servers outside your country. By using live data features you acknowledge that such transfers may occur as part of ordinary internet requests.
7. Retention
Local data is retained until you clear it or uninstall the app. Cached network responses are refreshed or expired according to the app’s caching rules.
8. Your choices
- Disable network access at the system level to prevent live requests
- Clear app storage to delete local preferences and caches
- Uninstall Meridian to remove the application and its private data
9. Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we publish revisions. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
